Piku Trailer: Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone And Irrfan Khan’s ‘Motion’ Journey

Piku-CoverAfter a long time, movie lovers will get to see a ‘Film’. Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and National Award winner Irrfan Khan starrer film Piku is anything but just a movie. Why we say so? Because looking at the trailer, the film isn’t any everyday Bollywood movie, with same old romance, over the top drama and far-beyond-human-reach action scenes. No, it isn’t. After watching the trailer, we are more than amazed.

The trailer perfectly took us through the highs and lows in the lives of a father and his daughter. In the film, Deepika plays the role of an ideal, hardworking and loving daughter who has a responsibility to take care of her 90-year old father, played by Bollywood’s Big B, Amitabh Bachchan. Whereas very talented and versatile actor Irrfan Khan seems to be the mediator between the daughter and father. In the trailer, we see headstrong independent woman, Deepika juggling between her work life and taking care of her old always-struggling-with-his-digestive-system father, Amitabh Bachchan. We see Irrfan in a very twisted spot, or so it seems. The actor feels that he got trapped between the mess of Piku and her father but as they move ahead with their journey, the actor starts to fall in love with Piku and also starts to get attached to her father, Amitabh.

We loved how the trailer cracked us up. From Piku pointing out her father’s little errors and helping him out nonetheless, to her father’s silly yet very strong philosophies, everything in the trailer will succeed in putting a smile on your face. But what we truly loved the most was Amitabh‘s line in the very end of the trailer, ‘Emotion is related to Motion’.

Now this is some film that promises some brilliant performances and will surely prove to be a time and money worth film. After all, we have three talented stars in just one spot, also, a very unique and interesting story, too. It’s like a cherry on top of the cake. After watching the trailer, it’s not wrong to say that director Shoojit Sircar‘s Piku is going to be a bumpy emotional ride with no halts. The film hits the theatre on May 8, 2015.
