Trailer Review: 2 States – Cute And Refreshing

States 06[tps_footer]In 2 States, Alia Bhatt essays the role of a Tamilian girl Ananya Swaminathan while Arjun Kapoor essays the role of a Punjabi boy Krish MalhotraRevathy and Shiv Kumar Subramaniam play the part as Ananya’s parents while Amrita Singh and Ronit Roy as Krish’s parents and they seem to be perfectly cast.

One look at the promo and you fall in love with both Arjun and Alia as both look cute and make a refreshing on screen pair.

From the ultra glamorous Shanaya in Student of The Year to the anxious kidnap victim Veera in Highway, Alia will be seen donning a very different look in this film. In 2 States, she plays Ananya, a management graduate in love with a Punjabi boy.

The trailer displays a strong confrontation between Tamil and Punjabi families, cropping out of cultural differences. The scenes between Amrita Singh and Revathy are hilarious, especially the dinning table scene at the end of the trailer. Also Revathy addressing Amrita Singh as a typical uncultured Punjabi seems fun.

Apart from some good comic punches, 2 States promises a lot of romance as well.

Both Alia and Arjun have also locked lips in the film. There are reportedly two to three kissing scenes in the film and both the stars were completely comfortable while shooting for it.

“The display of emotion has become bold. It’s great that the new generation is kissing on screen. As far as I am concern, I like to watch kissing scenes, its wonderful.” stated Karan Johar the co-producer of the film.
