[tps_footer]Funny, Real, Rooted, A Social / Political Satire and Set Against The Backdrop Of Rural India; well that’s what Yeh Hai Bakrapur is all about.

Yeh Hai Bakrapur, written and directed by Janaki Vishwanathan, a National Award winning filmmaker with two Tamil Films and several documentaries to her credit promises to be an eye opener on the state of rural India.

Well, before you think that this is something to do with Shah Rukh Khan then you are mistaken. Yeh Hai Bakrapur or the goat Shah Rukh has nothing to do with our superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

People have a tendency to name their pet animals after actors or someone they love. The goat is integral to the story so the name Shah Rukh, as it sounds catchy.

Yeh Hai Bakrapur is based on the complex belief systems that prevail in Indian society and the conflicts that ensue thereon. Even the poster of the film a goat (bakra) in bright clothing aviators and shows a crowd cheering the goat, Shah Rukh, as he gets ready to cut a ribbon at an inaugural function.

With Being Bakra Is Better Than Being Human as its tagline, the makers have also tried to used the Salman Khan – Shah Rukh Khan rivalry, guess to create curiosity around the film.
