Trailer Review: Youngistaan – This One’s For The Youth

Trailer-launch-of-film-Youngistan-04[tps_footer]Youngistaan is a story of Abhimanyu Kaul (Jackky Bhagnani) and the love of his life, Anwita Chauhan (Neha Sharma).

Abhimanyu, a young boy living an ordinary life in Japan, finds himself in the political spotlight due to the sudden death of his father, the Prime Minister Of India (Boman Irani).

The story revolves around a young man and his girlfriend caught up in a highly political environment. This couple, in some way, represents the progressive youth of this nation, which is willing to make its voice heard

One look at the trailer of Youngistaan and you are clearly reminded of Godfather minus the mafia angle because in Godfather, Al Pacino never wanted to take on his father’s business. Even in Youngistaan, Jackky is reluctant to take on the mantel of the Prime Minister. But then the similarity ends there.

One can see Vashu Bhagnani trying hard to re, re and re-launch his son. If at all I would want everyone to go and see the film then it would only and only for the Late Farooque Shaikh as this will be his last film.

Jackky said that the film would remain close to his heart as it gave him a chance to work with Farooque Shaikh. “I will always remember him as someone who guided and supported me in whatever I did and will miss him dearly. The film is about today’s youth who want to be heard and make a difference to the nation. At the same time it also blends a relationship between two individual’s and how their love stands the test of time.”

WATCH JACKKY SHARE HIS VIEWS ON YOUNGISTAAN:
Youngistaan, as the name suggests, stands for the youth by the youth and of the youth of India. The film is a common love story with a  political back drop.

Youngistaan is a project by MSM Motion Pictures in association with Vashu Bhagnani‘s Pooja Entertainment and Films Ltd. It stars Jackky Bhagnani, Neha Sharma, Farooq Sheikh and Boman Irani and is directed by Syed Ahmad Afzal.

Youngistaan is set to hit the silver screen on March 28, 2014.
