MUMBAI: Viacom 18 Motion Pictures has released the trailer of upcoming film ‘Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns’ – the sequel of ‘Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster’ (2011). The film features Jimmy Shergill as well as Mahie Gill, reprising their roles from the previous part, and brings in Bollywood’s powerhouse performer Irrfan Khan along with royal beauty Soha Ali Khan to add to the drama in this romantic thriller.
Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, ‘Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns’ takes off straight from the last scene of the prequel ‘Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster’, where a handicapped ‘Saheb’ Jimmy Shergill reigns mighty and ’Biwi’ Mahie Gill still craves for love.
Irrfan Khan replaces Randeep Hooda as the new ‘Gangster, whose intention is to destroy their kingdom. Irrfan plays the role of Indrajeet Singh who is known by his gangster name ‘Raja Bhaiyya’.

The story is taken forward when the gorgeous Soha Ali Khan marries the ‘Saheb’, becoming the choti bahu. The trailer has a royal vibe, with vintage cars and palaces, and promises a film packed with many twists and turns and some memorable dialogues like “Hamari toh gaali par bhi taali bajayi jaati hai.”
Talking about the sequel, Tigmanshu Dhulia who last gave us ‘Paan Singh Tomar’, said, “We had left the germ of the sequel in the previous film itself. It is not a franchise and we are taking the story ahead.”
‘Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns’ is slated to release on March 8, 2013.
