“After winding up Highway, I have been shooting for Kick. Shooter is about to complete and Ungli is set for a May 2014 release.” informed a very upbeat Randeep Hooda, just before he left for Delhi with his horses.
Filming for Salman Khan starrer Kick has been a joy ride for Randeep. Kick, which is directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, also stars Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead.
“Doing Kick was quite enjoyable. Salman is a nice person and we have a very good director. It is probably the biggest role that I have done so far. I’m not playing a villain. It is a love triangle,” he said.
While shooting for Kick, Randeep had a blast with Salman Khan and no way was he nervous about sharing screen with the super star.
“No I wasn’t nervous. Salman is a very nice person. No doubt he is a superstar. He is a great human being. Kick is the biggest movie of my career. It’s a huge canvas. If you got an integral part to play in a Salman Khan movie, that’s what an actor dreams off,” he added.
Also Randeep is making a conscious effort to move away from dark roles.
“Due to the roles I play people think I’m too serious and cranky. Also not realizing that doing such roles takes a toll on you, as one has to go through those emotions. It affects your life as well as the people around you. I want to try other genres as well. I want to make people laugh. Highway was my first attempt towards a bit of a comic role.” informed Randeep.
Randeep, has starred in films like Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster, Jism 2, Heroine and Murder 3.
