MUMBAI: Anushka Sharma is fast climbing the ladder both in Bollywood and in the fashion world. With her incredible sartorial choices, Anushka could give even Hollywood divas a run for their money.
We caught up with the waif-thin actress and ‘bubbly’ girl Anushka Sharma at the launch of Femina’s latest issue: the ‘Most Beautiful Women’ issue in Mumbai. Clad in a very low-cut golden gown (which made her look oh-so va-va-voom!), Anushka floored one and all present at the event, just with her fabulous dressing sense. Of course, Femina being a beauty and lifestyle magazine, Anushka seemed to be the perfect choice to unveil the ‘Most Beautiful Women’ issue of the glossy.
Anushka was flanked by several women achievers, including: Chhavi Rajawat, Politician, Amruta Patil, Writer, Sneha Khanwalkar, music director, Tanya Chaitanya, Editor, Femina during the unveiling of the Femina issue, ‘India’s Most Beautiful Women’ in Mumbai. Fittingly, the cover of this issue features Anushka herself: in a white printed shift dress and a neatly pulled back ponytail.
Anushka has been in the news recently for her alleged catfights with other actresses, the most noteworthy one being an ongoing feud between her and her former Bangalore girl, Deepika Padukone. The missiles in the form of angry words have been flying back and forth steadily for some time. So it was refreshing to see Anushka’s recent camaraderie with another top actress in B’town: the very lovely Katrina Kaif (who she co-starred with in ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’).
The common bond between them both being Yash Chopra’s last celluloid heroines, seems to have strengthened their relationship. For who can forget Anushka sweetly inviting Katrina to the special screening of her last release, ‘Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola’? And who can further forget Katrina actually showing up, and the two actresses hitting it off beautifully? Bollywood babes turned bosom buddies, these!
Infact when asked who’s more beautiful between Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, Anushka just couldn’t decide and choose to take the the politically correct path instead. Watch here!
