Bollywood’s two biggest actor Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor created hilarious and rib tickling comedy at IIFA 2015 on June 7, 2015. After AIB roast controversy, both the actors created a lively act on stage with their funny antics.
The duo left no stone unturned to make extravaganza entertaining with their hosting debut at Putra Indoor stadium in Malaysia. From making fun on Ranbir Kapoor’s Bombay Velvet to flirting with actress Deepika Padukone, both the actors went uproarious on stage.
Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor, who teamed up in their last film ‘Gunday’ didn’t leave a single Bollywood actor to make fun off. One of the memorable moments of the starry night that created a buzz all over on social networking sites was when Ranveer Singh called Deepika Padukone ‘Queen of hearts’ when she came on the stage to receive ‘Woman Of The Year’ award’. Ranveer Singh went on knees and offered a heart balloon to Deepika Padukone and also gave her red rose and spouted poetry. The Ram-Leela actress was seen all blushing on stage at that moment.
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are known for their love instances towards each other, the two superstars are adorable at their best. Known to keep his lady happy Ranveer has yet again proved that Deepika holds a very special place in his life. Even when passing through audiences, Ranveer Singh said, “Someone is very much distracting me” while Deepika was sitting on the first row.
Not just this, their gig also included Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan. The duo made fun of Aamir Khan who was against AIB roast and who had called it violent. Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor sang a song for Aamir Khan, “Hume maaf karna, O Aamir Khan. Hum kabhi nhi lenge Reema Lagoo and Farida Jalal ka naam.”
‘Gunday’ actors did not spare a single Bollywood actor on the starry night. They sang nursery rhyme “Johnny Johnny” referring to Ranbir Kapoor’s character named ‘Johnny Balraj’ in Bombay Velvet.
They also said that Ranbir Kapoor should have been named a Roti in Bombay Velvet as his co-star Anushka Sharma was named Rosie, that ultimately means “Rosie-Roti”. And they both took the Rosie-Roti away from Anurag Kashyap’s pocket,” they said.
Both the stars left no stone unturned at the awards night with their fun entertainment for the audiences. The also started their hosting debut with apologizing for their stint on AIB roast which also got them into legal trouble.
IIFA 2015 also saw some grand live performances by Shahid Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Sonakshi Sinha , Anushka Sharma, Parineeti Chopra and many more.
