Bollywood director Zoya Akhtar’s recently released film Dil Dhadakne Do, which opened to a good start at the Box Office on Friday, managed to win audiences hearts. The film, as predicted, took a good jump on Saturday and Sunday and grossed Rs. 36 Crore net (360 million) approx. on its first weekend at the Box Office. The comedy drama film Dil Dhadakne Do did a great business on Sunday at the Box Office and managed to pull Rs. 14 crore net (140 million) approx.
The star studded film has now become one of the few films of 2015 to have a good first weekend run at the Box Office. However, with an amazing opening like this, a decent first weekend business was quite expected. The film saw a very decent opening on its first day by minting Rs. 10.23 crore net (102.3 million) approx. at the Box Office. Audience loved the comedy, romance and the drama that came along with it.
The film received great response from the moviegoers as the occupancy rate throughout film’s first weekend run on the big screen was above 35%. Dil Dhadakne Do, which features some big names from Bollywood such as Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma, Farhan Akhta, Anil Kapoor And Shefali Shah did a good business in cities like like Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, East Punjab and Mysore.
Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do, which tells a story of a dysfunctional Punjabi family on a cruise trip and there complicated lives, is one of the few films in 2015 to receive a good opening at the Box Office, and now that the film did a really good business on its first weekend, we are looking forward to Dil Dhadakne Do’s first week run at the Box office.
