Salman Khan Gets Misquoted Again, Receives Backlash From Politicians Over His Comment On War!

Salman Khan Tubelight

Controversy’s favourite child, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, is at it again. And this time, with his no fault.

During a media interaction session for his upcoming film Tubelight, Salman Khan spoke about war saying, “People who order war should be asked to go to war themselves. Take this gun and go to war. (They will realise it) and it will get over in a day. They will tremble and shake and they will eventually take the route of dialogues and discussions. (“Haath pair kaapne lagg jaayenge. Ek hi din mein war khatam ho jaaega. Iske baad table ke saamne baith kar baatcheet hogi )”

After his statement on war and peace, Salman Khan has been receiving massive backlash from politicians and has turned out to be a topic of discussion. However, the video is quite evident to know that the Sultan star has not spoken anything in reference to India-Pakistan war. In fact, not even once he mentioned India or Pakistan in his statement but unfortunately, has been misquoted once again. His statement on the war was in general and has been twisted, which implies that he spoke about Indo-Pak relation and war.

A leading channel had a debate over the same with known faces from the political field. Here’s what they have to say:

Major Gen (Retd) GD Baksh said, “We need to ask how do we stop the killings. We’ve been doing nothing but peace talks and peace talks. Would Salman care to give this statement to the parents who lost their children in proxy war? Life of each Indian citizen is important. If an Indian dies, that blood is precious.”

Simi Chandok, editor of a leading channel said, “Why is Salman unable to talk peace with people from across border? Why talk to Indians only? This time Salman has made a sensible statement, but who’s controlling the clock of his heart?”

RSN Singh, Defence Analyst added, “There is war of choice, need and war of deniability. Don’t underestimate the patriotism and nationalism of Indians.”

However, media persons, who were present at the time when Salman talked about the war, are aware that the actor did not speak anything related to India-Pakistan relation.

Talking about his upcoming film Tubelight, the film is a backdrop 1962 Indo-Sino war. The film is produced by Salma Khan & Salman Khan and directed by Kabir Khan. It stars Salman Khan, Sohail Khan and Zhu Zhu. Tubelight will release in cinemas worldwide on Eid.
