ALS, Amytrophic Lateral Sclerosis is a disease wherein a patient loses the power of movement and can survive for only a few months from the time it strikes the body. ALS Association triggered an ALS Bucket Challenge, a charity campaign to spread awareness about the disease. To get more traction, mostly celebs are challenged to dump a bucket or more on themselves full of ice. It is a chain campaign while one challenges the other. And whenever it is associated with a cause, our Bollywood celebs never stay behind. They joined in on some icy fun in hordes and here is a list of those who took it up.
Now that’s what we call a smart guy! Akshay Kumar took the challenge and completed it in Capetown where the temperature was freezing. He was shooting his dance reality show and wanted only one contestant to pour the ice cold water on him. But all 11 joined in. And guess what he did? He used sea water instead of fresh water so that nobody wastes it. Charity with brains, we say!
