Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who is all set to make her comeback with Sanjay Gupta’s Jazbaa has been roped in for the most intense film Sarabjit Singh’s biopic, helmed by Omung Kumar. The actress will be seen playing the role of Sarabjit’s sister Dalbir Kaur, and little did we knew that the actress agreed to be part of the film in just 15 minutes.
After Mary Kom, the director has come up with another brave heart story that would showcase a real life struggle of an Indian prisoner Sarabjit Singh, who died after a brutal attack in Pakistan jail in 2013. Well, the film seems to be difficult, but it wasn’t that difficult for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to give a nod for it.

Recently, during Smita Thackeray’s birthday celebrations, director Omung Kumar was asked about his upcoming film on Sarabjit Singh. To which the director replied saying, “We directly approached Aishwarya as I know her since a long time. After meeting her, she agreed to do the film in just 15 minutes as the role was demanding and she could see herself in the role. So she instantly said yes.”
“Everyone already knows about the actors and they’re final. The script is complete, location hunting is currently on and we’re looking for a November-December-January shoot for the film. The workshop is scheduled for next month,” he added.
The much demanding role of playing Sarabjit Singh on screen has landed on actor Randeep Hooda’s lap, while Aishwarya will play the role of Dalbir Kaur. Filmmaker Omung Kumar, who is known to make his films as realistic as possible, has researched on the sensitive case well. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who will be seen playing the role of Sarabjit’s sister Dalbir Kaur in the movie has also gone into the depth of the subject in order to do justice to the role.
