MUMBAI: It appears that there is another twist in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Rani Mukherji saga. After word got out that Rani took the concept of Hadippa to Yashraj Films as she did not want to be paired opposite Shahid Kapur in the SLB Productions film, we are now told that Rani did this after she was ousted from Guzaarish.
A source close to Bhansali’s sister Bela Sehgal says, "Rani had a double deal with the Bhansalis. She was supposed to do Guzaarish with Sanjay and Hadippa with Bela. However when Aishwarya Rai Bachchan agreed to the project and Hrithik Roshan also gave dates for the film, Sanjay proceeded with the new cast and Rani was out of the film. After the success of Dhoom 2 and Jodhaa Akbar the combination of Hrithik and Ash is a box office favourite and so Sanjay went ahead with them. This upset Rani very much."
The source further goes to disclose that Rani was so upset with the deal that she went to Aditya Chopra. The producer apparently then hired his own writers to create a new screenplay. In retaliation Bhansali refused to give the title of Hadippa to Yashraj Films.
Although no one was willing to comment on the said accusations, the way the incidents have unfolded, has made people discuss this openly.
