MUMBAI: Juhi Chawla is perhaps more busy today than she ever was. Not just doing her kind of films but also signing lucrative endorsement deals that keep her in the public eye. The latest product that has got the actress to apply the grease paint and charmingly sell the goodness is Wipro’s fabric conditioner for woolens.
The Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak actress has some of the biggest brands to her name. Keeping in mind that Chawla is no longer leading the race in the commercial film circuit, she has brands like Wipro, Dabur, Diapers and Dena Bank signing up with her.
Pradeep Sarkar, who has directed Chawla is all the Kurkure ads, said, "The Kurkure ads have been designed keeping in mind Juhi’s bubbly personality. The campaign would not have worked with any other celebrity, Juhi has lent herself and her film personality to her advertisements and that’s what makes her a hot favourite with brands."
Chawla has not bid adieu to her film career. She plays the lead in one of director Onir Anirban’s I Am series with Manisha Koirala. Sanjay Suri, who is co-producing the film, has only praise for his My Brother Nikhil co-actress. Suri tells Businessofcinema.com, "You can go with the most difficult of scripts to Juhi and she has the ability to translate it into something very simple. Her personality is such that audiences always sympathize with her."
From doing films and advertisements to being a partner with her husband, Jay Mehta in an IPL franchisee to running a film production banner, Chawla is extremely busy, going about her business and laughing it off, by saying, "I do what I have to do. And between Jay and Shah Rukh, who take all the business decisions, my life is sorted."
