BOX OFFICE: Akshay Kumar’s ‘Boss’ Struggle Continues On Day 2

MUMBAI: Looks like Akshay Kumar’s newest film ‘Boss’ isn’t performing as well as expected at the box office.

On the first day, a public holiday, ‘Boss’ collected Rs 110 million (Rs 11 crore) nett. (Read story here.)

The second day was a working day, on Thursday, so crowds were expected to go down. ‘Boss’ managed Rs 70 million (Rs 7 crore) nett on the second day, getting the total so far to Rs 180 million (Rs 18 crore) nett.

‘Boss’ continued to struggle at the multiplexes, although it did well at the single screens. It’s best performance was among the single screens in Uttar Pradesh.

With the weekend upon the audience, the crowds might get better overt he next couple days.

But with another film ‘Shahid’ in cinemas too (and getting good reviews – Read our ‘Shahid’ review here), let’s see whether Akshay Kumar can prove himself the ‘Boss’ of Bollywood.
