Box Office: Varun Dhawan And Shraddha Kapoor’s ABCD 2 First Day Collections

ABCD3Bollywood dance drama film ABCD 2 opened to a really good start at the Box Office. The film received excellent reaction from the audiences and received this year’s best first day collections. Director Remo D’Souza’s ABCD 2 managed to mint Rs. 14.65 crore net (146.5 million) approx. on Friday at the Box Office. Grossing amount like this on its first day itself is a sign that the film is in for a good first weekend run at the Box Office. With this, the film has taken the top slot and become the highest Bollywood opener of 2015.

Despite heavy rains and issues that monsoon brought along with it, the film did a very good business in Mumbai circuit. Varun and Shraddha starrer film ABCD 2 grossed Rs. 5.50 crore nett (55 million) approx. in Mumbai circuit alone.  The film was also well received in other parts such as Delhi, East Punjab, UP, Gurgaon, Gujarat and Jaipur. The film opened to 45-50% occupancy rate at the Box Office, which is more than this year’s any other Bollywood film’s first day occupancy rate. If ABCD 2 continues to receive such kind of positive reaction from the audiences throughout the weekend, it will most probably earn around Rs. 45 to 55 crore at the Box Office on its first weekend itself and become a massive hit.

It’s amazing how the film is doing immensely great on the silver screen, despite being released on lesser numbers of screen counts; it became the highest opener of the year. Until now, Akshay Kumar’s Gabbar Is Back held the top spot in the list and was the highest opener of 2015, which was released in over 3000 screens. But now Varun and Shraddha starrer ABCD 2 is leading the race, even though the film was released in 2500 screens approx. in India. Now we look forward to the sort of numbers the film brings in on its first weekend run at the Box Office.
