MUMBAI: This season’s latest romcom, ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ starring Parineeti Chopra, Sushant Singh Rajput, and Vaani Kapoor, has won over audiences on Day 1.
Directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Yash Raj Films, ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ garnered decent reviews on opening day. At the box office too, the film did fairly well, generating approximately Rs 64.2 million (Rs 6.42 crore) net.
With decent word-of-mouth, the Parineeti Chopra starrer ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ only looks poised to soar over the weekend, and coming week. Interestingly, elder sister Priyanka Chopra’s neo ‘Zanjeer’ which has released simultaneously has done awfully on day 1 with just about 50% of Shuddh Desi Romance’s collections.
