Europe’s top TV executives to give keynote at MIPCOM

MUMBAI: MIPCOM 2010 will bring together two of Europe’s top television executives on the same keynote speaker platform. Groupe TF1 CEO Nonce Paolini and BBC Worldwide CEO John Smith will share their vision of the state of the global television industry.

As part of the MIPCOM conference programme, PricewaterhouseCoopers global leader entertainment & media practice Marcel Fenez, will present the PWC Global Entertainment & Media Outlook, outlining forecasts for growth in the media and leisure industries, on 4 October in Cannes.

This industry report will be followed by interviews conducted by Fenez with Paolini and Smith. These two executives will give their thoughts on the current state of the global entertainment industry and their outlook for the next five years.

"The impact and pace of digital transformation and the unrelenting consumer appetite for faster, newer and more exciting user experiences is causing real challenges for the industry. How do they keep pace with these fast, frantic but potentially fantastic developments within the industry, while continuing to meet the needs of their customers and deliver services or content at a price which is affordable. In conversation with TF1 and BBC Worldwide we’ll hear how these two companies are handling the challenges and harnessing the potential of this digital revolution," analyses Fenez.
