Mukta signs Rs 45 million deal with Ultra

MUMBAI: Subhash Ghai’s Mukta Arts Ltd has assigned India video rights of five of the company’s under production films to Ultra Distributors Pvt Ltd.


 


According to Mukta Arts, the deal has been struck at Rs 45 million (Rs 4.5 crore). The films include two movies (one small budget flick and a multi starrer one) directed by Ghai, and three other small budget movies by other directors.


 


Ultra managing director Sushilkumar Agarwal informs, “Ultra also had the India video rights for Ghai’s Apna Sapna Money Money, 36 China Town and Iqbal.”


 

Additionally, Ultra also has the rights to Ghai’s Good Boy Bad Boy, slated for release in April 2007. Sources say that talks are on to release the home video of Good Boy Bad Boy, along with the theatrical release in order to curb piracy. The film stars Tusshar Kapoor, Emraan Hashmi, Tanushree Dutta, Isha Sharvani and Paresh Rawal and is directed by Ashwini Chaudhary.
