MUMBAI: Recent buzz around Farah Khan’s upcoming project ‘Happy New Year’ suggests that Shah Rukh Khan is all set to reprise George Clooney’s role from super hit film ‘Oceans 11’.
Sources indicate that SRK’s character will have many similarities with Clooney’s character Danny Ocean in the blockbuster Hollywood film ‘Oceans 11’. The only difference being the former was about a heist, while ‘Happy New Year’ revolves around a bunch of aspiring dancers and a dance competition.
A source revealed: “He will be very cool with the girls, yet emphatically want to remain single. He will lead the pack, which will comprise of Abhishek Bachchan, Vivaan Shah and Boman Irani. The other guys will follow him, look up to him for directions. Yes, much like Clooney in the Ocean trilogy.”
Looks like SRK is quite keen on playing his own age now. After ‘Chennai Express’, Shah Rukh Khan will now play a 40+ man in ‘Happy New Year’ as well.
“He will play his age,” the source added.
Meanwhile, the hunt for the leading lady is still on. As reported, Farah is yet to finalise her leading lady – a Marathi bar dancer (READ STORY HERE)

A source confirmed: “Ankita is very keen to be a part of Happy New Year, but it is not certain if she will get the role.”
