It’s a major moment for all Chiranjeevi fans that have been longing to see the actor back on screen. Well the big news has been confirmed by Chiranjeevi’s son actor Ram Charan and director Puri Jagannadh has also announced that he will in fact be directing Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi’s 150th film, which will mark his comeback, starting this year on the actor’s birthday.
South Indian celebrities and fans of the megastar have already started a Twitter trend with hashtag #Chiru150 which has gone viral in no time. Celebrities from Ravi Teja, Ram Charan, Varun Tej, Allu Sirish, Vennela Kishore and Nikhil Siddhartha amongst others have expressed their utmost joy over the big news. Ravi Teja took to his Facebook page and posted, “Congratulations and all the very best #PuriJagan for # Chiru150. Eagerly waiting to see #Chiranjeevi garu back on silver screen!!”
Chiranjeevi’s son actor Ram Charan broke the news on his Facebook page by posting a pic with director Puri. He wrote, “YES It’s true!!! finally dad has decided .Mega star’s 150th movie director is Puri Jaganath.Excited!!!

Director of the untitled project, Puri Jagannadh reacted emotionally upon getting a chance to direct his most favorite hero. He Tweeted in his native language, “A Normal fan who decorated theatres on releases days is now directing his 150th film, please bless him.”

Reportedly the film will be launched on the actor-turned-politician’s birthday on August 22. The film will go on rolls this September and is likely to release in January 2016. Casting for the film’s lead heroine is currently going on and according to the latest buzz actresses Nayanthara and Anjali are racing for the spot. No official announcements have been made yet which has increased everyone’s anticipation a lot!
