AIB Roast which tickled our funny bone and ran into great controversy for its content is again in news. It is official that Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh will host the IIFA Awards.
Apparently, Ranveer Singh wanted AIB to script their hosting for the awards and even suggested their name for the same to the organizers.
However, the comic team of AIB will not be taking up this project and EIC (East India Comedy) another famous name of the comedy circle has been appointed to script the show.
The duo Ranveer and Arjun were quite impressed with the AIB show, and then what went wrong? If rumors are to be believed, there is no ill war between the actors and the AIB organization, the latter is not taking up the scripting of the IIFA Awards because they are already busy with four projects and have others in line scheduled.
However, sources close to Ranveer deny that the actor had recommended AIB to IIFA organizers.
Apparently, EIC is a part of the IIFA Awards scripting since a long time and the event makers did not want to hinder that. Though speculations are that AIB was the first choice for this event scripting, EIC has now officially taken up the event.
Nevertheless, Tanmay Bhatt has opined that the sole reason they are not taking up this offer is that they are caught up with prior assignments and do not wish to do any work halfheartedly.
