Surprise! Chiranjeevi To Do Voiceover In Rudhramadevi

RudhramadeviThe big surprise promised by Rudhramadevi makers is finally out. Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi has been roped in by director Gunasekhar to voice the introduction and narrate the storyline in the beginning of the film. Earlier this year it was announced that Chiranjeevi will be making his comeback to do his 150th film. And with this exciting news of Chiru‘s tie up with Rudhramadevi, fans are in for a double treat!

Looks like it is going to be a great year for southern movie lovers as back-to-back promising films like Baahubali, Rudhramadevi, Srimanthudu among others are being lined up for releases. Actor Chiranjeevi who will soon be doing his 150th film under Puri Jagannadh‘s direction, has been in close touch with Rudhramadevi director Gunasekhar since their film Chudalani Undi. This latest addition to the historic film was much needed as Rudhramadevi’s trailer failed to impress audiences who are still awestruck by Baahubali’s grandness.

Set to release on June 26, the much awaited historic film is based on the life of Rani Rudhramadevi which will be played by Anushka Shetty. The film also stars actors Rana Daggubati, Allu Arjun and Nithya Menen in pivotal roles. With an impressive star cast and direction of the Nippu filmmaker GunasekharRudhramadevi also has pioneer Ilaiyaraaja giving its soundtrack and background scores. Cinematography of the film has been done by Ajayanan Vincent and the film is being produced under director Gunasekhar‘s banner Gunaa Team Works.

Rudhramadevi also stars actors Vikramjeet Virk, Krishnam Raju, Prakash Raj, Suman, Adithya Menon, Aditi Chengappa, Catherine Tresa, Hamsa Nandini, Ajay, Jaya Prakash Reddy, Ahuti Prasad, Venu Madhav and Prabha amongst others in pivotal roles. Rapper Baba Sehgal has also been roped in to play the character of Naga Devudu in the film. Lead actors Anushka Shetty and Rana Daggubati also have S.S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali coming out on July 10.
