Karan Johar is all set to make his full fledged acting debut with Anurag Kashyap‘s much anticipated film Bombay Velvet. Filmmaker Karan, who plays antagonist in the film, is nervous and stressed out thinking whether his performance will be accepted by the audiences or not.

Directed by Anurag Kashyap, Bombay Velvet is a romantic thriller. In the film, Karan plays the role of a flamboyant negative character named Kaizad Khambatta. During his chit chat with media, Karan talked about his nervousness. “I am really nervous about it because it’s my first foray into acting and I am just really stressed out about how it is going to be accepted when it is out,” Karan said.

Well, we are sure that people will love Karan nonetheless. In the film, we’ll see Karan sporting different colours. Yes, Karan, who usually goes for colour black normally, was made to wear different colours in Anurag‘s Bombay Velvet. Not only that, Karan couldn’t throw a single tantrum on the sets, as being a filmmaker himself he very well knew what a director expected from an actor.
Karan went further on and said, “I wear lot of black but I have worn all kinds of colours in the film. I just kept my mouth shut because I felt that as an actor I can’t have the perspective because I have to follow the vision of the filmmaker, and that’s what I want from the actors myself.”

Based on Gyan Prakash book called Mumbai Fables, Bombay Velvet shows the picture of Bombay in 1960’s and tells a story of a boxer, Johnny Balraj played by Ranbir Kapoor and an aspiring jazz singer, Rosie played by Anushka Sharma. The film will hit theatres on May 15, 2015.
