New Bond will have ‘License to Kill’ at BO

MUMBAI: The novel that started it all, Ian Fleming’s Casino Royale, will have James Bond fans lining up at theatres across North America on 17 November. Sportsbook.com, the world’s largest online sportsbook and casino, has posted odds on the opening weekend gross on the British secret agent’s first mission.

Odds makers have set over/under odds on the film generating $38.5 million in its first weekend, with the over/under line set at -120.

In the 21st film of the James Bond saga, Casino Royale follows Bond on his first ’00’ mission. Secret Service Intelligence reveals that a banker to the world’s terrorists is planning to raise money in a high-stakes poker game at Casino Royale. M16 assigns Bond to beat the financier and bring down the terrorist network. In classic form, the 007 agent also encounters his fair share of martinis, action and beautiful women throughout the film.

Casino Royale, originally published in 1953, will feature Daniel Craig as the sixth and newest man to don the 007 tuxedo. Returning to direct his second Bond film, Martin Campbell had introduced Pierce Brosnan as 007 in 1995 with GoldenEye.
