Alex Branson to lead Ingrooves’ International Expansion

Mumbai: INgrooves, provider of digital distribution, marketing and promotion services to the independent music community, has named Alex Branson to the role of senior vice president international.  The announcement was made by INgrooves chief executive officer and founder Robb McDaniels, to whom Branson will report. Branson will be based in INgrooves’ London office.

In his role Branson will be charged with managing existing retailer relationships, forging new partnerships and handling label relations internationally.

Branson joins INgrooves from RoyaltyShare Inc, where he served as a consultant during the transition period after they acquired the assets of Broad Street Digital, where Branson served as vice president sales and marketing. He was part of the original management team of Rightsrouter, the previous incarnation of Flowphonics (later Broad Street Digital), during the period when they ran the Musicindie project for the UK record label trade body, AIM. Previously, Branson managed the licensing operations for the Nokia music service Music Recommenders as part of the team at UK agency Frukt Music. Prior to and during this employment, he continued to help manage dance aggregator, alexlee which he co-owned, as well as his own dance label, In Music. Previous to his joining Rightsrouter, Branson was the licensing executive at the European based record and publishing company Media Records, and before that, he was licensing co-ordinator at Sony Music UK
