GDC Technology inks deal to install 300 digital cinema servers in China with Dadi

MUMBAI: GDC Technology has signed a contract in China under which Dadi Digital Cinema Development Limited will deploy 100 units of GDC’s SA-2100 Digital Cinema Server in China by the middle of 2009. A roll out target of 300 servers by 2010 has also been set.

Dadi is a Guangdong based company focusing on the business of building digital cinema multiplexes in China. "GDC is the undisputed leader in China digital cinema industry in terms of both the number of projects deployed and also the number of servers installed. It really gives us extra peace of mind to work with a company of such stature and track record like GDC," said Cinema general manager Liu Kaijun Dadi.

GDC has been providing exhibitors with one-stop digital cinema solutions, 3D digital cinema solutions and 24×7 customer service that covers all provinces in China. "Dadi is the first cinema chain in China to exclusively use digital cinema projection systems for all its cinema multiplexes. We are heartened by the repeat order from Dadi; this will add to the more than 100 Dadi digital cinema screens provided by GDC that we know have been running smoothly in the last 2 years without using any 35mm projector," said GDC Technology founder and CEO Dr. Man-Nang CHONG.
