MUMBAI: In line with its commitment to build the presence of its content in key international markets, Disney-ABC-ESPN Television has concluded a multi-year deal with pay TV broadcaster M-Net in South Africa.
The agreement will launch a selection of feature films from the portfolios of Walt Disney Pictures, Disney/Pixar and Miramax Films to M-Net’s subscribers.
Under this agreement, M-Net’s viewers across South Africa will be able to enjoy films like There Will Be Blood starring Daniel Day-Lewis, and the Academy Award-nominated comedy Enchanted, featuring Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey.
The Disney Channel original movie High School Musical 3: Senior Year is also included under the agreement, along with The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian.
In addition, the agreement encompasses Disney/Pixar’s Wall-E, the Academy Award and Golden Globe-winning cosmic comedy adventure.
Disney-ABC-ESPN Television senior vice president, programme distribution, EMEA (South) Francesca Tauriello said, "We are thrilled to be bringing so many diverse hit features to M-Net’s subscribers, and we hope viewers will enjoy each and every one of them.
