MUMBAI: Warner Bros Records UK has appointed Ben Durling A&R consultant for the label. Durling reports to Warner Bros Records UK Warner Music UK and Chairman CEO Christian Tattersfield.
Until 2005, Durling was at Lizard King Records, where he signed The Killers amongst others. He then co-founded London-based independent label Lavolta Records. The imprint’s roster included Liam Frost, Kissy Sell Out, The Whip, The Dykeenies and The Red Light Company, with whom Durling worked on their deal with Columbia Records. He has also managed a variety of acts including UK rock band Longview, who were signed to 14th Floor in 2003.
Tattersfield said, "Ben is a first-class talent-spotter, who has collaborated with an impressive range of artists. He is a strong addition to our A&R team at Warner Music, where artist development is paramount. We’re very pleased to be working with him."
Durling added, "This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a label and team that has such a fresh and exciting vision for the future."
