MUMBAI: Paramount Pictures’ decision to release Iron Man 2 in international markets a week prior to its North American release comes as music to the ears of the pirates.
The Super Hero movie was released across 53 international markets a week before the US release so that it gets more time before the 2010 World Cup begins on 11 June.
While the movie will release in North America on 7 May, pirates are already feeding on it online.
The movie has grossed $100.2 million at the international box office over the last weekend. Camcorded versions of Iron Man 2 have been seeding on pirate websites for the last two days. The effect of this will be known once the movie debuts in North America this coming weekend.
