The Ghazi Attack, which is said to be the first-ever Indian film to be based on underwater war, finally released yesterday. Directed by debutant Sankalp Reddy, The Ghazi Attack is an extraordinary film based on the real incident, which entails the story of an Indo-Pak underwater war. The Ghazi Attack starring Rana Daggubati, Taapsee Pannu, Atul Kulkarni, Late Om Puri and Kay Kay Menon in pivotal roles, has been the much-talked film since the first trailer was released last month. Finally, the film that has released in 1375 screens across the country and is released in three languages Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
The Indo-Pak underwater war film is a big budget film and is expected to turn out a dark horse. The film has received positive reviews but the first day Box Office collections are disappointing. Though the promotions of the film were kept quite controlled but the trailer had already left audience curious to watch the film for its strong storyline inspired by true events.

The Ghazi Attack earned Rs 1.25 crore nett approx on its first day while other releases Irada and Running Shaadi are total disasters. As Karan Johar is backing the film for its Hindi release, the audience footfalls would entirely depend on the positive word of mouth spreads over the weekend.
Last Friday’s release Jolly LLB 2 has completely washed out this week’s three releases. Irada, an eco-thriller starring Arshad Warsi and Naseeruddin Shah, has collected around Rs 10-12 Lakhs nett on its first day.
On the other hand, Taapsee Pannu and Amit Sadh‘s Running Shaadi has also earned similar Rs10-12 Lakhs nett approx on its first day. Both the films failed to manage the expected audience in the theatres.
