Bhumi Pednekar won two trophies at the Asia One Awards. One award was for being a COVID Warrior and the other for her performance in Badhaai Do. The Dum Laga Ke Haisha Actress has beautifully proven to be a hero on-screen and off-screen. Not only has Bhumi Pednekar proven herself to be one of the most varied and gifted actors in Hindi film, but she also demonstrated her altruist side by becoming a COVID Warrior when the pandemic was at its peak in India.
Throughout the COVID-19 waves in India, the actress and her team would reach out to people in need and organise medical services. She was recognised for her work throughout the pandemic at the Asia One Awards.
At the Asia One Honors, Bhumi Pednekar won two awards. For the film Badhaai Do, the actress received the COVID-19 Commitment Award 2021-22 and the Black Swan Path-Breaking histrion of the Calendar Year 2021-22 grant. She played a successful lesbian relationship in the film.
An ecstatic Bhumi came to Instagram to share a photo of herself clutching the trophies and commented, ”One for #CovidWarrior, one for #BadhaaiDo, both for posterity & hope. Thank you for the honour #AsiaOneAwards and the distinguished jury that acknowledged our work. I truly hope I could’ve been present in person in London to receive these.
This one is dedicated to every covid warrior that became a part of our efforts. Thank you for relentlessly and selflessly working in those hard times. And of course, my entire Badhai Do family. We’ve touched many lives and should be so proud”.
Celebrities like Rajkummar Rao, Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani and Tushar Hiranandani congratulated the star on the eminent recognition.
