Huma Qureshi to Bring a “Masaledaar” Story For You.

Huma Qureshi

Huma Qureshi plays Tarla Dalal in the first-ever movie about the first Home cook of India. The epic food filler will be directed by Piyush Gupta and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, and Nitesh Tiwari.

Producer Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari says about the late chef , “Tarla’s story is a lot more than her being an iconic chef. It is a story about a working mother who single-handedly changed the face of vegetarian cooking in India. She paved the way for many such home cooks and start-ups to aspire and achieve their dreams.”

Huma says, “Tarla Dalal reminds me of my childhood. My mom had a copy of her book in the kitchen and would often try many of her recipes for my school tiffin. I also clearly remember the time when I helped mom make Tarla‘s homemade mango ice cream. This role has taken me back to those sweet childhood memories and I am very thankful to Ronnie, Ashwini, and Nitesh for having faith in me to play this awe-inspiring character.”

The first glimpse of Huma Qureshi as the late culinary prodigy Tarla Dalal was released today. Many expressed their support for Huma in the comments of her post. She got greeted with joy in her new role. Celebrities and fans alike congratulated the starlet after revealing she was “filming now.”

Tarla Dalal was a well-known Indian cuisine writer, chef, cookbook author, and culinary show host. In 2007, she became the first Indian to get a Padmashree award for culinary skills. It is the first time that Bollywood would depict a chef’s life story in cinema. The late chef, who was well-known for her delectable recipes, was an inspiration to all cooks. Her cooking instructions may still be found in any culinarian’s food pantry. Her “desi nuskhe” is still a topic of discussion in every Indian household. She is also frequently credited with refashioning vegetarian food in India.
