MUMBAI : Actor Aamir Khan who is known for being totally involved with every project of his, has surprisingly decided to let his wife Kiran Rao take centre stage for her film Dhobhi Ghat, which is produced by Khan’s production company.
Khan started the trend of showing the first theatrical to the media and having an informal interaction at the beginning of each film. Starting with Taare Zameen Par, Jaane Tu, Ghajini, 3 Idiots and Peepli Live he has always personally been present to show the first look of his films to the media.
But for the first time, in over 3 years, he will not be there for the launch of first look of Dhobhi Ghat
This time Khan wants everyone to know this is a Kiran Rao film. Rao will be showing the first look of her film to the media on 17 November, however, Khan will not be present there.
Dhobhi Ghat stars Prateik Babbar and Khan among others and will be releasing on 21 January, 2011.
