MUMBAI: Adlabs has joined hands with The Animation Society of India (TASI) to present Anifest India 2007, a design contest for students.
The curtain raiser for Anifest India 2007, will be a detailed session on the making of Little Krishna, a 3D TV series. Bala, Prabuddha and Anto of Anirights Infomedia will deliver a session on the making of the show, including storyboarding, art direction and voice recording, accompanied by sneak peeks of the show.
For the design contest, contestants have been provided with three topics to devise character designs. The designs need to be submitted by 7 June, 2007 and will be judged by a panel that has been appointed by Adlabs. This contest is an attempt to provide a real world experience to students and also to help the industry encourage new talent, says an Adlabs spokesperson.
The design contest open to students only and there is no submission fee for registering the entry. The entries must be provided on DVD/VCD format, lasting not more than 20 minutes.
Other scheduled speakers include Imageworks India creative director Krishna Kant Mishra, former creative head of MTV India Cyrus Oshidar and Sony Pictures Imageworks and producer Kirk Bodyfelt amongst others.
