MUMBAI: Warner Bros and People Tree Films, which produced the Akshay Kumar – Deepika Padukone starrer Chandni Chowk To China (CC2C), have announced a sequel to the movie.
After China, the sequel will now travel to Africa and has been accordingly titled Chandni Chowk To Africa. This has been made apparent at the end of CC2C that shows two African tribals approaching Akshay Kumar and Ranvir Shorey and addressing Kumar in an indistinct language. Shorey’s character translates the message to Akshay saying that they are asking him for his help in Africa.
The movie ends with the line – ‘To be Continued… Chandni Chowk To Africa’. While Akshay Kumar is likely to be retained in the sequel, what remains to be seen is whether the other cast is retained too.
This could as well be the beginning of an Indian movie franchise.
