MUMBAI:  Ajay Devgn will be seen acting opposite Southern superstar Kajal Aggarwal, in his next film, Singham produced by Reliance Pictures.

 Directed by Rohit Shetty, Singham is a remake of the Tamil film starring Surya. Aggarwal will play Devgn’s love interest in the film.

   Shetty says, “Kajal is very popular down south. She has done Magadheera, one of the biggest Telegu hits of all time. We are confident about her pulling off the role successfully.”

  “75 percent of the film will be different, while the original basic premise will stay the same. We have to make the film accessible to every market in the country. So the story will differ from the original. I have introduced new characters and subplots to cater to the general audience,” adds Shetty.

Singham is slated to release this July.
