Akshay tries Yamakasi in Thums Up TVC

MUMBAI: Thums Up brand ambassador Akshay Kumar will sport a new look while performing the extreme sport of Yamakasi in the new TV commercial that will be unleashed this summer.


Yamakasi, which will be seen for the first time in India according to the company, literally means “strong body, strong spirit, strong person” and is generally popularised by the French.


The campaign, conceptualized by Leo Burnett and directed by Abhinay Deo of RBD films, brings out the “Anything For Thunder” attitude of the Indian male, says a company release. To compliment the mass media initiative, a range of on the ground activities including road shows and contests across all key markets are also being rolled out.
