MUMBAI: Ektaa Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, which presently has its operations in Mumbai has now opened an office in Dubai. The Dubai office will primarily produce serials for Geo TV and Ary Gold, which will be made in Urdu and Arabic languages.
Balaji Telefilms has tied up with the Dubai Film City for this purpose.
Speaking on the same, Balaji Telefilms’ Jeetendra Kapoor says, “We have recently opened an office in Dubai to produce serials for the Gulf countries. As it is, they watch pirated versions of our Indian soaps. So why not make serials separately for the audience there? The first of these Balaji serials, featuring actors from the Gulf, will begin shooting in November. We hope to have two or three soaps on air in 2007 from our Dubai office.”
