Bollywood performances to watch out for, at IIFA this year

MUMBAI: The 13th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) to be held at The Lion City – Singapore, this weekend is focusing at the new, the young and the fresh.  

"As Bollywood heads towards serving the youth last year, this edition of IIFA is focused at providing a platform to new and fresh talent. The freshness in this year’s edition, is across multiple perspectives. It is a much younger approach, something that represents the youth of the country on global platform," said Director, Wizcraft International Entertainment, Sabbas Joseph to the press.

The event will see young and budding talent taking the limelight. Sonakshi Sinha is set to groove to Malaika Arora-Khan’s popular ‘Munni Badnaam hui’ number. Abhay Doel, Shahid, Priyanka Chopra, Bipasha and Ranbir Kapoor are the other young guns set to give a star studded performance.

While Shahid and Farhan Akhtar will host the academy awards; Ayushmann Khurrana and Chitrangada Singh will host IIFA Rocks, a fashion and musical night. For IIFA Rocks, newcomers Nargis Fakhri, Zoa Morani, Aditi Rao Hydari and Shazahn Padamsee will walk the ramp, featuring designers Masaba Gupta, Suneet Varma and Varun Bahl.

Bollywood stars like Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Rekha, Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Preity Zinta, Malaika Arora Khan, Rani Mukerji, Parineeti Chopra, Dia Mirza, Emraan Hashmi and Anil Kapoor, filmmaker Ramesh Sippy, Zoya Akhtar and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and more will be present. Screenwriters Javed Akhtar and Prasoon Joshi, composer Shantanu Moitra will host workshops. Dibakar Banerjee will host the world premier of his ‘Shanghai’, while excerpts of Neha Dhupia-Sonu Sood starrer ‘Maximum’ and Kamal Hassan’s ‘Vishwaroopam’ will be showcased.
