The Bollywood wagon is all set to make a mark in Paris. The occasion being Bollywood Week that opened today at the Grand Rex, showcasing twelve popular films. Shah Rukh Khan, Yash Chopra, Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta and many others are already in Paris for the week long festival organized by Carlotta Films and Bodega Films (distributors of films and DVDs in France).

Apart from just movie screenings, the week long conference boasts many master classes. Yash Chopra will be conducting a master class billed as ‘lecons de cinema’, a discussions with the director and stars, dance, songs and even karaoke. Audiences in Paris will be treated to a special billing with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. Fans will get the opportunity to meet the stars they love at the Virgin Megastore on the Champs Elysees today.
Statistics have shown that Europe is clearly a difficult market to penetrate while compared to markets like UK and US. There were films like Lagaan, Swades and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham released theatrically in France and the organizers hope that the Bollywood Week will further explore opportunities between the two countries.
