MUMBAI: Cinemax has forayed into Uttar Pradesh with the launch of its new multiplex property in Kanpur.
The Kanpur multiplex has a total of 999 seats with three screens and has 75 recliner seats. The Kanpur multiplex will also be exempt from entertainment tax for a period of five years.
Additionally, the multiplex chain has also expanded its footprint in Maharashtra with the launch of its third property in Nashik. With this launch, Cinemax will host 17 properties in Maharashtra. Cinemax Nasik will host a total of 1016 seats with five screens.
Cinemax India senior vice president Devang Sampat said, "Since our inception we have laid strong emphasis on screen size, picture and sound quality and innovative consumer offers, which have kept our viewers coming back for more. The launch of our property in Kanpur is a fortification of our promise of providing a state-of-the-art entertainment complex to all movie-enthusiasts pan India."
