Mumbai: DTH service dishtv has launched an offer titled "The IPL Pack" for Rs 120 only.
While the bulk of dishtv subscribers on its maxi and welcome packages already have MAX included and are hence enjoying the series, this special IPL pack announcement has been done with an objective to allow its subscribers on the freedom and freedom plus packs (which do not otherwise carry MAX channel) to enjoy the series. This comes at a small one time fee of Rs 120 only.
World over, special events, especially sports events are sold on DTH platforms on a similar "pay per event" concept. With the introduction of this special pack all dishtv subscribers on lower tiers – dish Freedom and dish Freedom Plus, can also enjoy Set Max at merely paying Rs 120 extra. The channel will be authorized to the subscribers till the series ends on 1 June.
Further, a consumer offer available in the four southern states, also allows new users, who are signing in at the freedom plus pack level, to view the IPL matches free. Under this offer, a new subscriber gets his dishtv connection along with 12 months of freedom plus package for Rs 3150.
Between 25 April and 31 May new subscribers buying this pack will also get IPL on MAX free till 1 June 2008.
