Eros to release Gandhi My Father in August

MUMBAI: Eros International’s next global release will be Gandhi My Father, which tells the story of Mahatma Gandhi’s tragic relationship with his eldest son.


The film, which is produced by Anil Kapoor, will release on 3 August, 2007. Gandhi My Father delves into a territory that has never before been visited by film, and will spark debate by bringing to light an unknown facet of the personal history of a man who transformed the soul of a nation, but who could not save the soul of his own son.


Based on his thought-provoking play, Mahatma v/s Gandhi, veteran thespian of Indian theatre and cinema Feroz Khan has written and directed the film.


Actor Anil Kapoor forays into independent production with his banner, Anil Kapoor Films Company with this film.
