MUMBAI: E-City Ventures promoted Fun Cinemas has added a new property in Bangalore. Located at Fun Cinemas, Sigma Mall, Cunningham Road, the three screens have a total seating capacity of 985 seats, with 224 Gold and 761 Silver seats. This will be the company’s first property in South India.
E-City Ventures CEO Atul Goel said, “This is our first Fun Cinemas down south and we are proud to be entering this market from Bangalore. Built over an area of 33,000 sq ft, this Fun Cinemas is equipped with the state-of-the-art technology and three-way surround sound system. The auditorium seating arrangement offers two different options to choose from – the Gold Class and the Silver Class, to suit individual preferences and budgets. Especially in tier II and tier III cities in India, the cinema-goers do not have much choice when it comes to demanding world-class quality experience. We, at Fun Cinemas, are committed to bring this fascinating experience to the doorsteps of every Indian.”
Fun Cinemas COO Vishal Kapur added, “Today, Fun Cinemas has become the fastest growing multiplex chain in India. We have registered a tremendous growth of 176 per cent in just one year, having grown from 17 screens to 50 screens and entering new markets like Chandigarh, Panipat, Jaipur, Gulbarga, Agra and Lucknow ahead of peers. Besides Bangalore, we are also planning to enter cities like Kolkata, Gwalior, Indore, Ambala, Kota, Hyderabad and Baroda, besides expanding our existing presence in Mumbai.”
