MUMBAI: Sanjay Mishra, who is making his debut as director with Hindi feature film Pranam-Walekum, has taken Giselli Monteiro in the lead.

Monteiro is playing the character of a nautankiwali in it. “The girl in my film is desi but has a mix of glamour and innocence, something that Giselli has. She is suited to this character,” said Mishra.

Produced by Sandiip Kapur, other star cast of the film is Vijay Raaz, Manu Rishi, Shilpa Shukla, Manoj Pahwa, Sanjay Mishra, Asrani with Irrfan Khan and Rajat Kapur in guest appearance.

Pranam-Walekum with its tongue in cheek humor, takes a funny and satirical poke at religious tolerance and intolerance in India.

The movie is produced under the banner of Promodome Films and is co-produced by Amit Chauhan. The music is by Sachin Gupta & Amit Mishra.
