Mumbai: On the occasion of Jodhaa Akbar having completed 100 days at the box office, producer and director Ashutosh Gowarikar hosted a party for members of the cast and media professionals on Monday evening.
Gowarikar also showcased the deleted scenes from the movie, some of which were scenes of Akbar and Birbal, mahamunga’s (Akbar’s baddi ammi) death scene, which was essayed by Ila Arun etc.
Commenting on the success of the movie Gowarikar said, "It is really heartening to know that Jodhaa Akbar has completed 100 days at the box office especially when so many factors where working against the movie, like the film was a historical, duration of the film was long, and due to which we were getting fewer shows and Jodhaa’s name was creating controversies."
Amongst others who attended the party were UTV chairman and CEO Ronnie Screwvala, UTV Motion Pictures CEO Siddharth Roy Kapur, Sunita Gowarikar, Ila Arun, Poonam Sinha, Neeta Lulla, Nitin Desai etc.
