MUMBAI: Zee Telefilms and Mukta Tele Media’s production collaboration, which provided an acting platform for winners of Zee’s reality show Cinestars Ki Khoj 2006, is ready for release on 30 March 2007.
Titled Khanna & Iyer, the film has been directed by debutant Hemant Hegde and introduces the new pair of Aditi Sharma and Sarwar Ahuja. The film is a story of two lovers who are faced with conflicting cultural values and beliefs held by their respective families, which force them to run away from home. Chased by their parents, cops and finally bandits in the jungle of Lal Dora, they encounter a series of adventures and misadventures full of love, drama and comedy.
Khanna & Iyer also stars Mushtaq Khan, Manoj Pahwa, Prateeksha Lonkar, Asha Sharman and Yashpal Sharma. This is Zee’s first presentation after Gadar, and has been made in association with Mukta Tele Media, the television arm of Mukta Arts Limited.
