MUMBAI: MTV India will be taking the seventh season of its reality show Roadies to Africa. What’s more, the show will also see Hindi film actor Irrfan Khan joining the Roadies team this season.
Roadies season seven has the tagline "7 Deadly Sins, 1 wild Safari," which will begin from Bhuj in Gujarat and enter North Africa covering Egypt, Kenya and Tanzania.
Khan comes in and throws open seven twists to the contestants throughout the season, when they least anticipate it.
Khan says, "I’m on board with MTV Hero Honda Roadies for 2 reasons – I love this show and I’m always game for action, adventure and travel and that’s what MTV Roadies promises! I’m looking forward to start shooting and I want to subtly warn the to-be Roadies – Beware of what lies ahead!"
MTV India general manager and senior vice president – creative and content Ashish Patil added, "The seventh season of MTV Hero Honda Roadies promises to be the deadliest and wildest ride ever as we take the battle across Africa. And adding a whole new level of menace this year will be the incredibly talented Irrfan Khan. All we can say is enter, only if you dare."
The auditions for the seventh season are on and registration closes on 16 September. The show will be hosted by VJ Ranvijay. The first phase of audition will happen online, followed by second round, which will be on ground in Kolkata, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Delhi and Mumbai.
