John Abraham & Birla build homes for Habitat

MUMBAI: Rajashreeji Birla, chairperson of Habitat’s IndiaBUILDS Advisory Committee hosted a function facilitating Habitat for Humanity India. The event was marked with the presence of John Abraham who is the brand ambassador for the IndiaBUILDS.


 


Together they have managed to pool funds enough to assist Habitat for Humanity with building over 5000 homes in last one year.


 


Asit Koticha Chairman of ASK Financials – a leading financial services and portfolio management firm presented Rs 36.25 lakhs to Habitat for Humanity India CEO Peter Selvarajan. Others present were Citigroup CEO Sanjay Nayar and supporters of Habitat India namely Pijikay’s Gul Kripalani, Ican’s Anil Singhvi.


 


ASK chairman Asit Koticha said, “The ASK-Habitat partnership is inspired by the Join John’s Brigade campaign of Habitat led by film star John Abraham.”


 


Rajashree Birla added, “We have already committed Rs 1 crores to Habitat India during this financial year, which will help build 1400 homes for the poor.”


 


John Abraham urged people to come forward and present their support towards building home for the destitute. “Come join my brigade to build decent homes for the poor. Come on India, let’s show we care!”
